Bill Cheatham - A very popular fiddle tune throughout the United States. Like a lot of fiddle tunes, it probably has Southern origins. In Gallatin, Tennessee in 1899 it was a fiddle contest "category" tune, meaning fiddlers would play their own chosen version, with the hopes of winning first prize.

When our Students play this tune, they often sandwich St. Anne's Reel between two Bill Cheathams.

Once you learn this tune from the banjo tab, give the medley a try. It's tricky but lots of fun.
